I found this old rundown house in an apple orchard in Sebastopol CA., home of the Gravenstein Apple. I talked to one of the residences of the home and she told me that she lived in that house since 1968.

There comes a time to act when the opportunity appears. I painted this scene of California Poppies contrasting beautifully with the Lupines that bloom at the same time. This 16"x20" oil was painted in plein air around Big Sur CA. at the end of last April.

This painting has been accepted into the 2012 "Icons of the West" group show at the Dana Gallery in Missoula MT. I painted this 16"x12" Oil in Plein air on my way back from the Sedona Plein Air Festival at the, October 2011.
