Classes and Private Sessions:
I work as an artist/illustrator as well as an educator in drawing and painting. I have taught a variety of age ranges and enjoyed every experience. Reviewing the basics with my students helps me sharpen my skills. I am inspired by my students just as they are inspired by me. We learn and share the discovery of fine drawing and painting together. It is very important to understand the basics first in order to save much grief and disappointment in the future.
My private sessions are $75/hour plus travel time. I sometimes offer drawing and painting classes for children and adults, but do not currently have anything scheduled.
Commission work:
My philosophy is that I can draw and paint anything, so bring it on. I love a challenge! Below are some aproximate prices. The actual price will vary based on the complexity of what is desired:
Pen and Ink: 5"x7" $100 8"x10" $200
Charcoal Drawings:8"x10" $100
12"x16" $125 16"x20" $155
18"x24" $185
Paintings:8"x10" $400 12"x16" $850 16"x20" $1200 18"x24" $1700 I require a 25% down payment on all commission work. I prefer to do most of my work with the actual subject. However, I'll take photos of the subject for photo reference to finish the painting in my studio. This is included in the cost.
